During the winter months, potholes form in the roads. This can play havoc with your vehicle's suspension system. Hitting a pothole can do serious damage. In addition to this type of damage, there are components of your suspension system that need regular maintenance.

If your suspension system is experiencing difficulty, you may notice certain signs. A malfunctioning suspension system can make it harder for you to corner with your vehicle. You may notice that your vehicle's front-end dips when you stop. You may hear rattling noises coming from the areas around the wheels.

How many miles do you drive every school year hauling the kids everywhere? It's probably a lot. Before you start the school routine this year, make sure you and your vehicle are ready for the task.

Keep up with the vehicle's maintenance needs. Get the tires rotated and the oil changed as recommended. At least once a month, check tire pressure and tread level. Inspect the wiper blades for wear. If they are torn, replace them. Top off the wiper fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant. Make sure to have spare bottles in the vehicle.
