New B6 Powertrain
The 2022 Volvo S90 gets a new mild hybrid engine that takes the moniker B6. The B6 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged mild-hybrid inline-4 engine that makes 295 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This engine includes standard all-wheel drive while working with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2022 Volvo S90 is also available in a Recharge configuration, which is an even more powerful engine that makes 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque.
Trim Changes
The Volvo S90 is available in three trim levels: Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription. The Momentum trim includes a whole suite of driver assistance along with an impressive set of tech. comfort, and convenience features. The Momentum trim includes dual-zone automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and wireless smartphone charging. Driver assistance features include blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, collision mitigation, lane keeping assist, lane departure mitigation, oncoming lane mitigation, road sign information, adaptive cruise control, and parking sensors. The R-Design trim level gains upgraded interior materials, premium leather upholstery, a leather sport steering wheel, and a 13-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
