Exterior Features
The XC60 has a refined and bold look for its exterior. The wide grille is designed to almost appear like it is floating partly into the body, and the Volvo emblem helps makes itself known. This SUV features powerful LED headlights that are also available in LED fog lights that integrate seamlessly with the rest of the design. These lighting options not only provide you with plenty of light but also accent the Scandinavian style.
Safety Features
Volvo is well-known for creating some of the safest cars out on the road, and the XC60 isn't any different. It features the Lane Keeping Aid that monitors your location when in the lane. If you happen to veer out of the lane then the XC60 will gently steer you back to safety. If this isn't adjustment isn't enough to get you back in the lane or if you happen continue steering across the lane markings, then you'll be alerted through vibrations in the wheel.
The Volvo XC60 is equipped with a Blind Spot Information System with Steer Assist and Cross Traffic Alert with auto-brake. While this might sound like 3 different features it is actually one feature. This long-named feature means that, if you begin to merge into a lane, but the system detects that there's a car in your blind spot, it will alert you and steer you back into your lane. It can also detect if you're backing into the path of another vehicle. This means that if you're backing out of a parking space in a crowded lot and are at risk of hitting another vehicle then you will be warned and will brake if necessary. This is to keep you out of harm's way.
