Is Vehicle Maintenance on Your Back-To-School List? It Needs to Be

How many miles do you drive every school year hauling the kids everywhere? It's probably a lot. Before you start the school routine this year, make sure you and your vehicle are ready for the task.

Keep up with the vehicle's maintenance needs. Get the tires rotated and the oil changed as recommended. At least once a month, check tire pressure and tread level. Inspect the wiper blades for wear. If they are torn, replace them. Top off the wiper fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant. Make sure to have spare bottles in the vehicle.

Get your car organized from the start. Keep sports equipment in designated bags or containers. Make a spot for your emergency supplies (flashlight, jumper cables, etc.). Make sure all items are secured, so they don't become a hazard if you have to stop suddenly. Get all your maintenance done here at Gengras Volvo. Stay safe out there.
